The Shikis' slow pace in the village is clearly displayed here. The food chain is explained nicely, and the director is vehemently portrayed in this episode. Belief and disbelief are mixed among the villagers’ feelings. The pace is complementing the narrative here.

The new OP was nice but the ED was much spookier. The episode was kind of a let-down with Natsuno's sacrificial act and focusing on an annoying character. Even Ozaki was a no-show in this one. The mood is unsettling and depressing and the story is regressing. Disappointing ep.
