ok so this is a SHAFT show so you already know it's gonna be visually unhinged in a good way lol. slow start tbh, very much "girl won't leave her room" setup, but the style carries it. skip if you need fast plot, watch if you just want weird vibes and pretty visuals. patience required.

I mean... I like the OP, I like the soundtrack, and the animation during the action sequence was great. But, what just happened in the second half of the episode? one moment it felt like a slice of life anime, and it suddenly turned into some bizzare supernatural battle with reality-warping monster...To be honest, I'm more confused than intrigued 🤣

Starting with Valentine's chocolate and somehow ending in mythological nonsense taking over reality is exactly the kind of whiplash this show thrives on. Shaft's visuals immediately scream chaos, but Sasami's awkward charm somehow keeps everything weirdly grounded.
