The opening scene was pretty unique since it showed the previous events from a different perspective, but the rest was just... meh. 😑 Rushed, bad writing, just a bunch of non-sense happening from start to finish. I don't even understand the twist or what that red-haired guy was doing. For a finale, it barely left any impression. It's a shame, though, because the first few episodes were actually interesting. 2/5

It still has the same theme as the previous episode with more hot spring fan service and jealousy about "friendship" and stuff. The festival scene was kind of bittersweet and touching, overall it was fun to watch. (Guess I'm shipping Sasami and Kagami now) But what was the last scene even supposed to mean? I really don't understand the main plot...

Edogawa said she got what...? it's not even one minute and things just got weird again 🤣 Well, it's the hot springs episode, so expect some fan service. I'm not sure how I feel about that because of Edogawa situation, but still, some scene were entertaining. The telepathic group chat was creative and Tsurugi's antics throughout the episode were hilarious.

Yeah this one was a snoozefest. I just couldn't keep up with the story and all those time travel stuff they kept throwing in. I don't know if it's a poor adaptation of the light novel or the writing itself is just straight-up bad. Either way, it just felt boring to me. The scene near the end was interesting, though.

I like how the story starts with a ridiculous military battle and then it continues the plot from the previous episode. The first half was absurd, and somehow, they managed to get the second half even more bizzare with all those flashbacks and lorebombs. There were a lot of Japanese mythology references I wasn't familiar with, and the plot felt a bit forced at times just to create a conflict... Mid episode tbh, but I still have to give it credit for its creativity

To be honest, I only understand 50% of the story. It feels lke the plot keeps jumping from one thing to another and it kinda hard to keep up. But... I guess it never fails to surprise me with its unexpected developments. The fight scene was intense, I didn't expect Tama to end up stealing the spotlight. The visual and atmosphere was so much darker compared to the previous episode so every moment gave me goosebumps. I guess that's a plus.

I like the writing. I was expecting an emotional mother-daughter reunion, but the second half completely caught me off guard. I mean, you saw it coming if you pay attention to the way story had been building up in the previous episodes. But because this show is so random and unpredictable, the twist still managed to surprise me.

The most "normal" episode so far. I like how the first person Sasami tried to befriend with was Kagami. Both of them are socially akwards so their interaction was hilarious and wholesome. Also, Kagami "hunyah" sound was adorable, props to KanaHana for that.

Love this episode. The idol scene and everything that came after that was hilarious in a weird way. It also one of the most creatively written episodes I've ever watched in Anime, especially if you've been paying attention to the previous episode.

When I thought I'm starting to understand the plot, things got weirder again lol. I guess this episode is a "must-watch" if you want to understand the story since it contains a lot of lore dump. I still don't fully understand the world-building and how everything works, but this episode made me even more curious with this show.

A lot of funny interactions especially with the MMO-themed episode, I bet a lot of people can relate to Sasami in some way. I also love how most of the angle shots were taken from a single fixed angle, with little to no camera movement. SHAFT never disappoints when it comes to this kind of visual direction.

watch it, obviously. classic SHAFT/Shinbo finale energy — weird, sincere, visually loaded, doesn't fully explain everything but sticks the emotional landing well enough. good payoff for a genuinely strange season. worth the ride overall.
