Sasami-san@Ganbaranai Episode 8: Strategic Solitude

I like how the story starts with a ridiculous military battle and then it continues the plot from the previous episode. The first half was absurd, and somehow, they managed to get the second half even more bizzare with all those flashbacks and lorebombs. There were a lot of Japanese mythology references I wasn't familiar with, and the plot felt a bit forced at times just to create a conflict...Mid episode tbh, but I still have to give it credit for its creativity

watch it, back half is definitely earning its keep now. stakes feel real, the surreal elements start tying into something bigger instead of just being weird for weird's sake. good if you like shows that reward sticking around.
