I still remember watching the edited version as a kid where they just got captured but seeing the original Japanese version is a total nightmare. Jupiter getting impaled and electrocuted was so brutal and then Rei just blowing herself up at the end killed me. The way their spirits come back to comfort Usagi at the ruins made me cry so hard.

Seeing Rei bleeding out in the snow, still holding onto the thought of Yuuichirou, just breaks my heart because she deserved so much more than that lonely end.

When Ami got jolted out of her perfect illusion, I was already dreading what she'd do, but then she *chose* to stay behind and help everyone else, knowing it meant her own end. It just rips me up that someone so selfless and dedicated had to go out like that, all alone in the dark.

I just couldn't believe how much she pushed herself, clearly showing that protecting her friends is her absolute top priority, and it made my stomach drop when she finally crumpled into the snow.
