it is wild that this show tried to make skin and bones disease a plot point just to sell a gym scam

luna was really out here trying to scratch usagi into working out more and that is such a toxic move for a mentor cat

i really felt for usagi when she was staring at that kids pork bun because i also get that hungry when i skip lunch

i couldn't help but laugh when usagi stepped on the scale at the end and realized she gained weight after all that fighting

watching sailor moon shout about sweating off kilos while kicking villains in the face was the only funny part of the entire gym battle

the messaging in this one is so weird because everyone is basically telling usagi she needs to lose weight and then she almost dies at a gym. the only part i actually liked was the weird workout slogans sailor moon was shouting while she fought those muscle guys, but the stuff with her family at breakfast felt really gross and dated

her brother and dad are actually so mean for calling her fat when she is literally tiny and it makes you feel bad for her

umino taking secret photos of haruna sensei at the gym was beyond creepy and nobody even called him out for it

I was really caught off guard by how creepy Haruna-sensei looked all zombified in that green pod; it felt kinda dark for Sailor Moon! But then I was so pumped to see Sailor Moon totally own the fight by using those fitness slogans, which was honestly hilarious and so her.

Usagi was getting so down on herself, and I was genuinely getting worried she'd totally spiral from all the self-doubt. It was such a relief when Motoki just casually told her she was cute exactly as she is; I bet that little moment really helped her, especially with how often she beats herself up.

Ugh, I'm so over Mamoru and his 'meatball head' jabs, they're getting old fast. But then he straight-up laughed at Usagi for just eating, and honestly, that just felt so unnecessarily mean; what is his problem even?

My gosh, I genuinely felt so bad for Usagi when her family started teasing her about her weight during breakfast. She's already so self-conscious sometimes, and seeing them pile on when she's just trying to enjoy her food really got to me; it just felt so unnecessary.

Ugh, Mamoru calling Usagi 'meatball head' is already annoying, but I can't believe he really went there with the cannibalism joke about pork! Like, does he *try* to be that mean, or is he just clueless about how to actually talk to someone without being a complete jerk? It honestly makes me wonder why he even bothers interacting with her if he's just going to be rude.

Ugh, seeing Usagi stare at that kid with the pork bun really got to me; it's so unfair that she's starving herself just because of some dumb numbers on a scale. I just wanted to give her a hug and tell her to eat it anyway, she looked so miserable.

Man, Haruna-sensei with those blue, hollow eyes totally freaked me out, I wasn't expecting her to be the monster! It was super dark to see the salon turning all those women into actual zombies, like, what even happened to them after?

I loved how Usagi's battle cries were literally fitness slogans; it was so unexpectedly goofy and totally something she'd do in a pinch. Seeing her use the tiara to take out those headbands was also super clever, combining the gym setting with her powers perfectly.

I seriously laughed out loud when Usagi hurled that pork bun at Mamoru, like, you could tell she just hit her breaking point with him calling her "meatball head." It's so classic Usagi, she really can't stand when he gets under her skin, and honestly, I kinda get it!

I seriously couldn't believe everyone was ganging up on Usagi for her weight, like, she looks totally normal, and it was so frustrating to see her own parents joining in. It just felt so dated and kinda mean-spirited for Sailor Moon, you know?

I gotta say, Jadeite rocking that purple tracksuit was unexpectedly stylish, and his whole gym membership scheme was honestly pretty smart for a villain, even if the energy draining part made me cringe a little. It makes me wonder if he actually thought he could get away with something so public for long.

i felt so bad for usagi when she started crying over the scale; her dad and brother just making jokes about it instead of comforting her was honestly kinda frustrating to watch.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Only four episodes into a 46-episode season, the series is still in its early establishment phase, introducing the monster-of-the-week structure and fleshing out Usagi's personality before the full Sailor Guardian roster assembles. The previous episodes handled core setup—Usagi's awakening as Sailor Moon and her first encounters with the Dark Kingdom—so this filler installment offers a breather while the show builds its episodic rhythm. Future episodes will shift toward recruiting additional Guardians and deepening the overarching conflict, making this a low-stakes entry point that's safe to skip without losing narrative threads.
