EPISODE REVIEWS

Mako telling Reika she was being selfish for not choosing Africa was a lot but it actually pushed her to go anyway which turned out for the best

I felt so bad for Usagi when she was sniffing that coffee cup just to get a scent of Motoki only to find out he sees her as a little sister

Episode Context

Sitting past the halfway mark at episode 29 of 46, this filler arrives during a stretch where the show occasionally steps back from the escalating Dark Kingdom conflict to develop its cast dynamics, particularly the Usagi-Mamoru relationship. Prior episodes have been building toward larger revelations about the Moon Kingdom and the identities tied to it. While this installment doesn't advance that trajectory, the romantic tensions it plays with remain relevant connective tissue for the emotional stakes that intensify significantly in the season's final act.
