QUICK TAKES

This episode left a strong impression on me. While the animation isn't particularly outstanding, the artwork is beautiful. The character designs remain consistent throughout and the environmental art is especially impressive. The anime also gave me the impression that it was inspired by the Rune Factory game series which made its world feel both familiar and engaging. I'm looking forward on the next episode and would mark this anime as a must watch alongside Iron Wok Jan! in my list to watch this summer season.

The fantasy setting feels pretty cozy. Instead of chasing another Demon Lord, the goal is literally building a community from nothing.

Alna deciding "Yep, this is my husband now" after seeing Dias work hard was both hilarious and weirdly adorable. Girl wasted absolutely no time. 😂

The premiere isn't action-heavy, instead it focuses more on worldbuilding and the relationship between Dias and Alna, which honestly works better than I expected.

I died laughing when Dias tried to eat the grass and hated it because he is such a big lovable meathead and I already want to see him succeed in this empty field

The age gap is what why I've never even read the light novel but I am intrigued by the world building that will commence in the next few Episodes and the animation & character designs look lovely .

The village chief calling Dias a straightforward fool was the most accurate thing in the whole episode, especially after seeing him dump a whole bag of monster bait at once

Her looking all dressed up for the hunt was such a shift from her pointing a bow at him earlier and I think they are going to be a fun duo for the territory building

Watching the government official dump Dias in a giant field of grass and just leave him to starve was funny because the poor guy just stood there sweating

That earth dragon battle was brutal and Dias just tanking those fireballs to protect her shows exactly why his soul is that bright blue color the tribe keeps talking about

Arna deciding to marry him right after he smashed that dragon's head in was crazy, but it fits the way this show is just very straightforward and simple

I really hope the end credits mean he actually sticks with just Arna and they build that family together because I am so tired of every fantasy show turning into a huge harem mess

This being a fantasy show that is not an isekai is great and Dias being a beefy veteran is such a change from the usual skinny teenagers with bowl cuts
