This episode leans further into the show's over the top personality, giving the cast more chances to bounce off one another, especially with the introduction of a new eccentric character. There's more spectacle than substance in the action, but it does its job well enough.

Episode 3 successfully maintains the series' excitement momentum by expanding the spectrum of otaku culture it features. While the previous episode was heavily steeped in a robot/hero anime vibe, this time the story takes us deeper into a different subculture through the introduction of a highly eccentric new character. The presence of this new element brings a very fresh dynamic and color to the protagonist team.
