A new character and bring fresh energy to the story. Animation stay smooth, especially during the performance scenes. However, some scenes feels too silly, and the main mystery move very slow.

A fair amount of the jokes in this episode kind of overstays its welcome in my opinion. It kinda undercuts the actual overarching plotline of the show a bit. While the story is indeed moving, I'm not sure if the one moving is the story they're supposed to tell. Maybe it'll be rectified in later episodes.

The new character introduced in this episode also feels like another addition to a long list of characters that are too loud and caricatured. The anime's hyper-focus on sitcom-style comedy centered around otaku stereotypes makes its main plot development—the struggle against military oppression—feel like an insignificant background with zero urgency. If the anime doesn't move away from this character-introduction formula in the next episode, the entire series will feel incredibly monotonous.
