That waterslide aftermath is predictable since a lot of hints are throwed beforehand. The animation captures all of Kazuya’s panic perfectly as Mami continues to pull strings in the background.

In this episode, what is more striking is not just what happened, but the way they portrayed the tension between pretense and true feelings.

Another episode, another 15 minutes of Kazuya’s internal screaming over Chizuru just breathing. We get it, she’s pretty. At this point, it's tough to root for the relationship when the guy keeps acting like he's never had a conversation with a girl before. I’m just begging for someone to actually communicate like a normal human being for once.

Episode Context

Sitting at the two-thirds mark of Season 4, this episode continues the Hawaiians resort trip established in Episode 7, 'Hawaiians and Girlfriend,' using the vacation setting to intensify the group's tangled dynamics. It functions as a pressure-building chapter, letting relationships and rivalries develop before the emotional payoffs that Episode 9, 'For My First Time and Girlfriend,' appears poised to deliver. This is the calm before the storm territory, essential connective tissue for the season's back half.
