Kazuya's Abyss
The episode opens with Kazuya alone, slumped in shame. He replays the moment Chizuru fled his confession, a desperate plea hanging in the air. His despair is a visible thing, a darkness swallowing him whole, convinced he has ruined everything. He fears Chizuru will abandon their rental agreement, leaving him truly isolated.
Ruka's Urgent Call
Lost in self-pity, imagining Chizuru moving on, Kazuya is jolted by his phone. It is Ruka, her voice sharp and impatient, demanding to know his whereabouts. She insists he is late, that everyone waits, pulling him from his dark thoughts. He must now face the world, though dread rather than excitement propels him.
Ruka's Claim
Kazuya arrives at the pool, met by Ruka in a bright new swimsuit. She crowds him, showing off, demanding his attention, but his mind remains elsewhere. He tries to keep his distance, but she wraps herself around him in a public hug. This forces him into an awkward charade of affection he cannot genuinely return.
The Friends' Scrutiny
Kuribayashi and Kibe approach, noticing Chizuru's absence and asking questions. Kazuya is forced into a clumsy lie, inventing an excuse for her delay. Ruka clings to his arm, asserting her 'girlfriend' status, deepening the confusion of their friends. Kazuya's shifty eyes betray the immense pressure he feels, unable to escape the web of deceit.
Chizuru's Professional Mask
Then, Chizuru appears, stunning everyone in a delicate blue bikini. The men, including Kazuya's friends, are openly awestruck by her beauty. She approaches with a calm, professional smile, acting as if nothing transpired at the church. Her ability to instantly don her 'perfect girlfriend' persona simultaneously comforts and wounds Kazuya.
The Buried Confession
Kazuya finally whispers to Chizuru, instructing her to forget his earlier confession. He insists on returning to 'professionalism,' forcing a bright, hollow smile. Chizuru's expression flickers, a brief shadow of disappointment crossing her face before she agrees. He feels a bleak victory, having saved the trip at the cost of his own truthful feelings.
Mami's Demands
A flashback shows Chizuru bowing low to Mami in a hotel room, desperately pleading with her. She begs Mami not to reveal her rental girlfriend status to Kazuya's family. Mami stands over her, aloof and calculating, eventually agreeing to remain silent for now. The scene underscores Chizuru's profound commitment to protecting Nagomi's happiness, even under duress.
The Family Gathering
The Kinoshita family joins the group at the pool, bringing a surge of chaotic energy. Grandma Nagomi is delighted, showering Chizuru with praise and affection. Ruka tries to insert herself into the family circle, but Nagomi's focus remains entirely on Chizuru. Kazuya watches, a profound impostor, hyper-aware of Chizuru's strained performance for his unsuspecting family.
Mami's Calculation
Mami retreats to a quiet corner, her gaze fixed on her smartphone. She is viewing Chizuru's official rental profile, her eyes narrowed and cold as she reads the glowing client reviews. Her prior 'agreement' with Chizuru is exposed as a mere delay tactic, her sinister smile revealing her destructive intent. Later, in the steamy hot spring, Kazuya is physically relaxed but mentally frayed, observing Mami lurking nearby. He realizes the dangerous proximity of everyone he knows, the social catastrophe drawing near.
The Exposed Truth
As the group prepares to leave the pool, Mami 'accidentally' drops her phone at Grandma Nagomi's feet. Nagomi kindly bends to retrieve it, and her eyes widen in shock at the phone's bright screen. Chizuru's rental girlfriend profile is displayed for all to see, time seeming to halt. Kazuya and Chizuru are paralyzed, the truth finally laid bare in the most devastating public manner.
Mami's Triumph
In a post-credit segment, Mami breaks the fourth wall, taunting the viewers and Kazuya. She laughs with malicious glee, declaring Chizuru's 'time is up' and that she will be the new heroine. Kazuya, in a frantic chibi style, protests this dark turn. It is a comedic but unsettling end, hinting at the difficult episodes to come.
EPISODE REVIEWS

In this episode, the story revolves more around the unspoken feelings and awkward tension between Kazuya and Chizuru. And why is it so hard to admit feelings?

Having lunch at Saizeriya? Honestly relatable but the tension during this meal was insane though. You can feel the awkwardness through the screen. Kazuya is still struggling to get his words out, but the chemistry is definitely there.

The pacing in this one is incredible and hits us with a massive curveball involving Mami. It is that perfect and stressful blend of high-tension romance and looming drama.
