Kind of annoyed the episode buried the cave reveal so late. The first half was cute but I kept waiting for the plot to actually move and the payoff only came in the last few minutes. Still a decent setup though

Episode Context

Episode 12, "How to Spend New Year's," blends cozy seasonal comedy with an increasingly ominous supernatural undercurrent. Hinata, Kaoru, and Dara-san remain the emotional center as winter-break customs, domestic downtime, and a movie gathering show how naturally Dara-san has settled into the siblings' lives. The structure is episodic at first, moving through short, playful situations built on boredom, illness, costumes, and holiday activities. Kaoru's mischievous energy, Hinata's fearless enthusiasm, and Dara-san's earnest attempts to join in keep the tone warm. Underneath the humor sit unsettling folklore images and reminders of Dara-san's buried past. The late material turns toward suspense, closing on a mood that is far heavier than the holiday vignettes that opened it.
