The episode is packed with a fun, classic dungeon-crawler aesthetic. The background team showcases incredible creativity on the labyrinth's second floor, populating the scenery with strange gravity-defying architecture and eerie bioluminescent fog.
There are still noticeable weaknesses, but that's exactly what makes it exciting to look forward to as their skills improve. There are also some funny moments, which hit even better because they are always so serious.
Pete's new evolution as a reversi has lead to a lot of new series lore, and even brought upon him a lot of change. Especially compared to how he was in the first episode. Some nice bonding during the labyrinth exploration - basically cementing them as members of a group. Another slow paced episode but necessary for character bonding and development.
