A highly mature, emotionally grounded conflict resolution can be seen in the episode. The visual frame is packed with heavy elemental magic effects, beautifully rendering a massive localised thunderstorm that wreaks havoc on the combat stone arena.
Using flashbacks to reveal their emotions was a great touch. Plus, the thunder and static effects during the sword fight to drain the enemy's strength made the action scene stand out.
Despite using the fight to close Michela's chapter and backstory while revealing more lore, I still felt like the entire ordeal was pointless. Albright and Stacy were just used as filler to progress the story into the next chapter - basically bringing them into the right spot to prepare or bait for what is to come next. Quite possibly the worst episode in the series so far.
