A frantic, high-stakes rescue mission premieres in this episode. The animation uses unstable, shaky-cam visual styling and tight corridor tracking shots to reflect the chaotic panic as students are violently snatched away into the dark.
The fast pacing actually worked so well with the writing here. Love how it showed the characters using tactical teamwork under pressure. You seriously need to watch the next episode.
Compared to the last episode, this was more along the lines of what I was expecting. That the characters would start to be a little more realistic and make rational decisions. Milligan upped the interest further by making the labyrinth journey exciting and resourceful, making it enjoyable to watch instead of just following along like always. Quite the comeback of her character.
