So glad Subaru decided to (somewhat) reconcile with "Juli"! Their frenemy interaction and overall dynamic feels wholesome when reminiscing about their first meeting and duel. Power duo vibess

It was so fulfilling watching Subaru gather his comrades (mainly Wilhelm) to defeat(?) Betelgeuse. It felt understandably underwhelming, but the ending felt satisfying enough! Subaru has really grown since the beginning of this series, to the point where he can even admit his wrongs (a little) too.

The ending of this episode was way too ominous, it reminded me of the start of the White Whale arc, super mysterious. What was she even doing there? Such interesting mysteries, especially when it comes to Subaru's connection to Pride??

episode 22 had me screaming at my screen. hat finger's voice acting gave me chills. julius and subaru burying the hatchet was necessary but awkward. and subaru PICKING THAT UP after everyone explicitly warned him not to? my brother in christ you learned nothing. the snowy cliffhanger with ram has me stressed.

Goodness Gracious Wilhem the gigachad! With that age and he can still move that fast? Pure action and intense moments for this episode. It's a must watch and you should not miss out!

This episode feels very intense. The tension stays high the whole time. Subaru is under a lot of pressure, and the situation keeps getting more dangerous. Petelgeuse is still very disturbing to watch. It feels like everything is building to the end.

UP: Subaru fighting from inside his own head is INTENSE. Voice acting goes crazy. Betelgeuse calling Subaru the "Archbishop of Pride" is intriguing. DOWN: Ram's sudden appearance at the end with THAT cloak raises more questions than answers. Cliffhanger overload. 🎭

Watching Subaru actually coordinate with Julius—even though they clearly still want to punch each other—is top-tier character growth. Man that fricking sloth is a nuisance.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 22 marks the transition from the White Whale confrontation into the Witch's Cult offensive, the final major conflict of Season 1's back half. The hard-won alliances forged across previous episodes are now put to their real test as Subaru moves from proving himself to actually leading under pressure. With only three episodes remaining, this installment accelerates toward the season's climax and sets the emotional and strategic stakes for everything that follows.
