EPISODE REVIEWS

the scheme is classic prison school. it is absurd, tense, and surprisingly clever. gakuto's planning shines, and the desperation feels earned. even when things go wrong, the camaraderie keeps it engaging. the show knows exactly when to be ridiculous and when to be sincere.

Episode Context

Sitting at the three-quarter mark of a twelve-episode season, episode 9 represents a critical escalation point following the mounting pressure established in 'The Diary of Andre.' The boys' fight against the Underground Student Council's expulsion scheme shifts from reactive survival to active counterattack, raising the stakes considerably. This episode directly sets up 'It's a Bum-derful Life,' positioning the final stretch of the season for its climactic payoff.
