Episode Context

Episode 3 of 136 sits squarely in the foundation-laying phase of Pokémon Journeys. After Ash and Goh's fateful meeting and their decision to work under Professor Cerise, this is where the series defines what their day-to-day partnership actually looks like, contrasting philosophies, shared curiosity, and the growing trust between them. It establishes the research-assignment framework that will drive much of the season's structure going forward.
