This is one of the most satisfying and emotional episodes ever! The build up, the tense, and the animation is so good! After 15 years, Ash finally defeats the undefeated Sinnoh Champion Cynthia. A milestone moment for the Pokemon anime.

Episode Context

Episode 125 serves as the climax of Ash's Masters Eight semifinal against Cynthia, continuing directly from the strategic groundwork laid in the previous episode, 'Valor: A Strategic Part of Battling!'. This battle represents the final barrier between Ash and the tournament finals, where a showdown with reigning Monarch Leon awaits. With only eleven episodes remaining in the entire series, the outcome of this match carries massive implications for the endgame of Pokémon Journeys.
