Episode Context

Sitting deep into Pokémon Horizons' extended run at episode 129, this chapter arrives after a long buildup involving the Explorers' schemes and the mystery surrounding the Black Rayquaza, a throughline that has defined much of the series' overarching tension. The title's explicit promise of a showdown positions this as a critical convergence point for plot threads that have been developing across dozens of episodes. Whatever follows will likely deal with the direct aftermath and recalibrate the trajectory for the remaining stretch of the season.
