I was quite entertained by this episode. Tsukasa delivered a pretty funny humorous performance, albeit a bit cringey and mundane. There hasn't been much development in Tsukasa and Isla's relationship, but I'm sure Isla will open up a little bit in the next episode.

We get a closer look into Isla's motives in this one. I was worried about the dynamics between the two getting rushed very quickly. I was so glad the writers made the interactions very natural and realistic!

This episode is so moving because we finally see Isla trying her best during field training. Her awkwardness with the tea is honestly adorable but also kind of sad.

Episode Context

After the first two episodes established the world of Terminal Service and the emotional stakes of Giftia retrievals, episode 3 pivots inward to develop Tsukasa and Isla's personal dynamic outside of work. This is early-season foundation-building, the kind of character investment that Plastic Memories needs its audience to make before the heavier emotional beats land in the second half of its 13-episode run. It sets the stage for the gradual thawing of Isla's demeanor that will drive the central romance forward.
