Phoenix Episode 7: Transformation

Once again, a new arc set in a new era. It also appears we've gone hundreds of years back to the past as opposed to the futuristic setting from the last two episodes. This time, we follow a swordswoman named Sakon-no-suke, who is stuck at a temple with no place to go. At first, I thought story would be pretty straightforward, but then they brought a lot of weird fantasy elements to it. I really like that twist in the story. Speaking of twist, what really sold this episode for me was the insane plot twist at the end. Although this appears to be only episode for the arc, I liked it better than the previous one. Let's keep those crazy arcs like this coming!

With an intriguing cast of new faces and rich historical world-building, the storytelling remains brilliantly engaging!

I one shot episode with a very cool premise. I preferred the first two stories, but this was still a fun quick watch. This episode has this hazy desaturated look that makes it feel very dreamlike.
