This episode is pretty fascinating. In here, we see Leona's tragic past uncovered, as well as the terrible incident that left him with a deteriorated mental state. It also shows a developing relationship with him and Chihiro. I find it kind of weird, but it works pretty well. Judging by the way the episode ended, I would assume that it's the end of this specific arc. If that's the case, it's kind of a unfortunate, because I do want to see more of this arc. Let's see what the next episodes will have in store, though.

A phenomenal direct continuation that takes the emotional intensity to another level! Centering the narrative on Leona and Chihiro amidst the vastness of space made the existential drama hit with incredible force. The flawless execution and sleek presentation brought this futuristic conflict to life, while the breathtaking appearance of the Phoenix tied the mystical and sci-fi elements together seamlessly. A brilliant and deeply thought-provoking chapter!

This story isn’t so far fetched if you think about all the people out there right now who have fallen in love with AI lol. I’m really enjoying this anime so far! I’m looking forward to seeing what the rest of the stories are about.
