This is a difficult stage for Kaito. It's a good thing he's surrounded by good characters. Some of them, whether rival or frenemy, lowkey stood out that they care. Also, good job with the scientific explanation about the armband. That's much better than simply saying that the skill belongs to whoever wears it.
The psychological battle faced by Kaito in this episode provides more weight, while Cubic’s worries provide an excellent addition that doesn’t slow the pace. The involvement of Gammon and Nonoha also helps increase the drama, ensuring that the tension remains on a personal level. Overall, this is a great comeback episode.
Yes there is a cat. Yes it matters more than it should. This is a quieter one more about the character dynamics settling after the intensity of the last few eps than anything plot heavy. Cubic doing something unexpectedly decent here made me reconsider him a little. The cat subplot is used with more intention than the title suggests. Soft episode, needed one.
