Probably one of the best episodes in the season and one of my personal favs. The whole episode is dedicated to the conflict between the Anarchy sisters and the new demon sisters. The jabs they take at each other are hilarious. The demon sisters are great foils.

A turning point in the series so far with the introduction of an actual rival and not just a villain of the week. While the comedic tone remains, the stakes are more felt because the threat is actually, well, a threat to Panty and Stockings instead of just annoyances.

This is honestly one of my favorite episodes because it introduces Kneesocks and Scanty. I love how they're so similar to Panty and Stocking. It was really funny how Kneesocks and Scanty seemed to be way more successful academically compared to them.

Episode Context

Sitting at the near-midpoint of a 13-episode season, 'Les Diaboliques' pivots the series from largely episodic Ghost-hunting romps into something with recurring stakes by debuting key antagonists who will factor into later conflicts. The first five episodes established Panty and Stocking's personalities, powers, and relationship with Garterbelt through standalone stories; this episode channels that foundation into a more serialized direction. Everything introduced here, the rivalry, the power dynamics, the tonal escalation, sets the trajectory for the back half of the season.
