"Otona Joshi no Anime Time" is a series of animated adaptations of award-winning short stories aimed at a female audience. The first story follows Noriko, a 33-year-old woman from Kanazawa, who returns home after five years abroad with her husband and son, only to find a sense of emptiness and a secret shared with another man. Another story centers on Mimi, a wife in her late 20s, who leaves her family to live with a younger man. A third story introduces Hatoko, a businesswoman on the cusp of her 40th birthday, who reconnects with her first love from middle school.
