Bobby's Girl

"Bobby ni Kubittake" follows Akihiko Nomura, a 17-year-old consumed by his love for motorcycles. His academic performance suffers, much to the dismay of his traditional father, while his mother remains silent. Akihiko's only support comes from his nosy but encouraging little sister. His life revolves around his bike, from cleaning and tuning it to riding it. After his photos are published in a motorcycle magazine, he receives a romantic letter from a girl. He responds, sparking a pen pal relationship. Akihiko's obsession leads him to drop out of school and work at a biker bar, resulting in his father kicking him out. He finds himself staying with a friend, anticipating a call from his pen pal, while his boss takes him to a motocross track.
