Oshirimae Man: Fukkatsu no Oshirimae Teikoku
Oshimeter
Synopsis
On the surface, Maejiri is an ordinary office worker, except for one small detail: his butt is on the front of his body. By night, he uses this anatomical anomaly to fight crime as the city's secret protector, Oshirimae Man. That's the premise, and somehow it gets wilder from there. This movie kicks off when a mysterious drug starts spreading through the city, causing regular people's butts to migrate to the front — essentially turning everyone into copies of Maejiri. What sounds like it could be flattering turns out to be deeply sinister. Maejiri infiltrates the pharmaceutical company behind the drug and stumbles onto something called the "Oshirimae Man Empire Revival Plan," run by a villain with a serious grudge and an even more serious plan for humanity's rear end. The whole thing plays like a superhero parody that leans fully into its absurd concept without ever winking at the camera too hard. There's genuine action threaded through the comedy, and the satirical edge keeps it from being just a one-note joke. The exaggerated character designs do a lot of heavy lifting for the humor. If you liked the unhinged energy of Crayon Shin-chan movies or the low-budget villain comedy of Himitsu Kessha Taka no Tsume, this sits comfortably in that space — dumb in the best possible way, committed to the bit, and surprisingly engaging once the conspiracy unfolds. It's one movie, so there's zero time commitment to worry about.
