I hope Akane wins! She's the best fit for the role; she understands the nuance of the role so well that she could blend into the character. She definitely needs to get it!

The strength here is in motivation. Same goal, completely different reasons, and the writing actually lets that tension breathe. Ruby and the others don’t just compete, they reveal themselves.

The battle for the lead role is peak drama. Seeing the raw greed for fame clash with pure passion for the craft makes the audition scenes feel like a war zone. Ruby’s transformation into her mother’s image is both haunting and impressive.

My goat came back and reclaimed her man. Loving how we get to learn about the industry regarding casting in Japan. Wish they could’ve just shown the DVD already.

This episode agak pack dari segi dark thriller punya vibes daripada episode yang sebelum ni tapi episode best sebab episode ni lay the groundwork untuk movie yg Aqua plan as his first steps towards his greater plan in the future.

The plot is building up and the explanation of behind the scenes while pretty accurate, the solution was unrealistic. It feels like they are pushing into the end game of the series already, as it feels like the calm before a storm

This episode felt pretty average to me. The visuals are still nice, but I’m still not sure what the real purpose of the interpersonal audition is. The pacing is slow again, so it kinda feels like an episode you could skip.

Right now they building the characters a lot, which is influencing the series really much. At future episodes its gonna go better, but for now its slow pacing and slow progression.
Still have room to improve, when the story gonna go further

I want to see more of Akane after the breakup :') looking forward to the next episode, hopefully she gets a good spotlight then. This episode is pretty narrative-heavy but not bad if you're interested in the world-building.

Don't really know what to say, this episode is meh. Sure, the visuals are still great. But other than that, the narrative is pretty flat and underwhelming here.

Not much going on in this episode as it's still the build-up for the next events. Could have been better though, it was pretty forgettable and skippable tbh

seeing all the red tape and money talk for the fifteen year lie movie was a lot but it makes the industry feel so much more grounded and gritty

Aqua, I just don't understand how much more Akane can take before she breaks, you know? It's getting so incredibly frustrating for me to watch you push her away like this, even though I logically understand it's for your revenge; I just want you to find some peace and genuine happiness already.

Movie funding talk is actually so interesting and it makes the 15 year lie project feel way more real plus seeing Gotanda and Kaburagi work together was a highlight

Kana absolutely crushed that scene and Aqua setting it all up just to show everyone what she can really do was such a smart play she deserves that lead role

They really skipped over some of the best Akane moments from the manga and it feels like she is getting sidelined just when the casting battle for Ai is heating up

Ruby at the end with those dark eyes and that smile was terrifying and it really hit me how much she has changed since the start of the season

Watching Ruby prepare for that audition with the liar theme is going to be intense since she has been living a lie for so long and Akane is definitely sweating right now

Aqua brushing off Akane like that honestly had me cringing, because while I get his revenge plot is intense, his coldness just makes it so hard to still root for him. I'm starting to think he's losing himself completely in this dark plan, and it's making me wonder if his revenge will even be worth the person he's becoming. This whole episode felt like the air before a big thunderclap, with everything building up for something massive.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at episode 9 of 11, this is the direct emotional fallout from the desperate countermeasures Aqua executed in "Plan," functioning as the true climax of the scandal arc that has defined much of the season's tension. While it resolves the interpersonal crisis at its most raw and painful point, it simultaneously pivots toward the movie production arc, positioning the final two episodes to launch an entirely new trajectory. This is the hinge point where Season 3 transitions from reactive damage control to calculated, forward-looking ambition.
