That audition was rigged, LMFAO. I can't believe how unimaginative it is to have selected that person for that role. Still, I'm excited how to see how everything will end.

This episode risks being unsatisfying on purpose. It values internal truth over clear results, which can feel messy, but it fits the show’s theme of identity vs performance. Not clean, but meaningful.

The tension between Akane and Ruby during the private sessions is incredible. Watching them dissect Ai’s personality to see who can truly embody her is like watching a psychological thriller. Ruby’s raw desperation to become her mother is both impressive and terrifying.

Ruby wins the role in a way nobody expected and earns every second of it. Kana's quiet announcement and a strange conversation about reincarnation give the episode an unexpectedly heavy finish.

Anticipating something big the next episode. Glad they’re both having lunch and having a proper conversation together. Nothing much to say tbh.

Oshi no ko probably has 1 more episode to this season, but I think overall, the season more or less concludes here.
The Plot points for this season are mostly wrapped up and next episode would likely be a cliffhanger to make us wait for season 4.

We get some character development between Ruby and Akane, but the pacing still feels pretty standard. The main takeaway is that Ai Hoshino’s movie planning is done—now we’re just waiting for filming. In other words, the plot is about to move forward.

It's interesting to see that both Ruby and Aqua are slowly becoming more open with showing their inner motivations to the people around them, even if they try to hide it by omission or by lying. The writing is so good, especially the flashbacks and the scene with the "girl" too

The pacing is great in this episode. Really did a great job adapting the manga so far, narrative-wise. Can't wait for the next episodes!

OMG OMG OMG we're moving, the plot is moving! I'm so hyped! The way they portrayed the emotions in the dialogue was so cool, kudos to the voice actors~ and the art definitely elevates the heavy parts.

When Ruby revealed that heartbreaking connection between her past as Sarina, constantly performing for her parents, and her current acting role, my stomach absolutely dropped. It's just so sad to see her still carrying that burden, feeling like she can never truly be herself even in this new life.

Akane purposely losing that audition was such a loud move, and seeing her confront Aqua at the park afterward shows she still cares too much even if he is being a total jerk to her lately

Ruby crying about Ai and then saying just kidding was so messed up and you can tell she is actually breaking inside while Akane just watches from the side without knowing the truth about Sarina Tendouji

Akane somehow deduced the entire revenge plot just by reading the script, and her declaring she will stop Aqua sets up a massive clash for the movie arc

Ruby pretending her suicidal thoughts were just a joke for the audition was a complete gut punch because she is losing herself to this revenge and it is genuinely terrifying to see her star eyes change like that

I can't believe Ruby actually said she wanted to die just to get that role and seeing her channel Sarina's misery like that was so hard to watch and her eyes look so dark now

Kana graduating through a social media post felt so sudden and sad and it really shows how much she struggled as an idol compared to her passion for acting while those panda facts from Aqua were such a weird distraction

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off "Greed and Passion" and the broader industry power plays that defined mid-season, Episode 10 narrows the lens dramatically to an unofficial casting clash that serves as Season 3's emotional crucible. This penultimate chapter crystallizes the competing motivations that have been building all season into a single, high-pressure confrontation over who will portray Ai in the "15-Year Lie" film. With only the finale remaining, the outcome of this showdown will directly determine the cast and emotional stakes heading into the season's conclusion.
