Oshi ni Ko sometimes goes big with dramatic visuals and sound effects to show extreme emotions, like when someone’s spiraling or frozen in fear. This really worked well in this ep to show what the character’s really thinking.

I was staring at the screen when Akane dropped that bouquet and the knife fell out. It’s wild how far she was willing to go for him but Aqua ending things to keep her out of his mess is a twisted way of showing he cares. Those double stars in his eyes at the end really settled that he's gone for good.
