The "Oh no" tag is so accurate because the whole time was screaming "OH NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" I thought things were going downhill, until it didn't, BUT IT DID! Now I'm so concerned, and is greatly looking forward to the next episode!

Focus shifts to Kana navigating a sketchy side of the acting industry while trying to stay relevant. It’s less explosive but way more uncomfortable. Meanwhile, Aqua and Akane’s dynamic quietly builds in the background.

Seeing the casting process for the movie is pure drama. Aqua is clearly pulling some strings from the shadows while Ruby is ready to fight for her role. The way the studio tension builds between Akane and Kana is just absolute peak.

Yea this episode was a bit of a downer, not because the episode itself was bad, the topic itself, the cruel reality of the entertainment world just hits you differently. Thankfully she got out in one piece, sadly she was seen.

This was a dark and intense episode with a focus on Kana. If delves alot into the dark side of the idol industry and puts her through very painful trials. The emotions feel raw and painful to go through as the presentation of it in the episode was so well handled.

Akane begin her quest to be the "middle man" on the conflict between Aqua and his revenge shenanigans. Aside crom that, It's heartbreaking to see Kana Arima almost lost herself after being "rejected" by Aqua but now I'm worried for Kana in the next episode because of paparazzi got her on lens.

The entertainment industry can be harsh. Didn’t expect Kana to take such an unconventional route, even if she couldn’t fully commit because she’s still not over Aqua. Super curious about what Akane will find about Aqua’s real father, and how Aqua will react when he finds out.

The reveal that Hikaru was only fifteen when Ai got pregnant really sent chills down my spine; it's such a messed up, dark detail that adds another layer of grimness to everything. I just can't shake the feeling that Akane trying to shoulder this whole dangerous investigation all by herself is going to spiral into something truly awful for her.

I was actually holding my breath when she went into the director's apartment and the way she just started crying about Aqua was so real. It stopped a really gross situation from getting worse but then the paparazzi showed up anyway. My heart just breaks for Kana because she keeps trying to do the right thing and it always backfires.

the shot of kana staring at the jellyfish really captured how lonely she feels in b-komachi now that ruby is the star and aqua is completely ignoring her

i am genuinely terrified of akane and her detective skills right now because she figured out the hikaru connection so fast and now she is going on a solo mission

Melt getting roasted for his old acting was funny, but the shift into that apartment scene with the director was way too uncomfortable to watch

nothing ever goes right for kana and that photographer hiding in the car made it feel like everything is about to fall apart for b-komachi just when they were winning

Miyako schooling Ruby on how agencies actually work was a needed reality check, and it shows the darker side of the business that Ruby still doesn't quite get.

I felt so sick when that photographer popped out at the end because B-Komachi was finally doing so well and now Kana might lose everything just for trying to get an acting job

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at the exact midpoint of Season 3's eleven-episode run, 'Casting' pivots from the broader confrontations of Episode 4's 'Blind' to narrow its lens on Kana's personal and professional crossroads. It functions as a critical character-building bridge, layering the emotional stakes that will feed directly into Episode 6, 'Idols and Relationships,' where interpersonal dynamics are expected to take center stage. This is the kind of mid-season recalibration that defines how the back half will land.
