Awwww we finally got to see the logic behind why Kana acted that way on her first meeting with her rival! It was unlike her to accept cheating in the system. I'm also quite thrilled to see Kana shining the way she truly should. Aqua's acting has also improved, truly magnificent!

This episode was truly outstanding because it was really all about Kana and her acting. This episode introduces the two faces of a coins very quickly. From Kana's happy acting style to Aqua's very angry acting style, which was filled with hate.

Episode Context

Positioned just past the midpoint of a thirteen-episode season, 'Trigger' follows Episode 7's exploration of the Akane-Kana rivalry and pivots the spotlight onto Kana's internal reckoning with her own craft. This episode deepens the Tokyo Blade stage play storyline at a crucial juncture, laying essential emotional groundwork before Episode 9 escalates the play's dramatic stakes further. It functions as the season's character-development fulcrum, the turning point where personal breakthroughs begin reshaping the trajectory of the arc.
