This is the BEST episode so far! Finally, after long, detailed discussions of politics and science, this ep is pure terror, literally! One of the most nerve-wracking moment to watch ever! Pacing, plot, animation, tense, everything flows or aligns perfectly! Peak VA of K. Tsuda!

Episode Context

Episode 11 tightens the screws with an oppressive, dread-soaked atmosphere that ranks among the series' most intense installments yet. The focus splits between the institutional machinery of the inquisition and the fragile pursuit of truth. Two novice inquisitors are thrust into their roles under Nowak's imposing authority, and their initiation exposes the brutal reality of enforcing orthodoxy. Meanwhile, Badeni's research reaches a critical juncture, placing him squarely in the crosshairs of the very power structure being showcased. Madhouse delivers deliberate, tension-heavy pacing that prioritizes psychological weight over action. Themes of fear as a tool of control, moral compromise, and the personal cost of forbidden knowledge dominate every scene. This is a slow-burn episode that builds suffocating tension rather than releasing it, expect to feel uneasy throughout.
