The cinematography on this episode is a spectacle! Merely seen a glimpse of the night sky but the visuals on the setting sun was gold. The voice acting was brilliantly done and credits for Oczy's hardworks. Not expecting but still expected by that cliffhanger at the end.

Damn, Badeni's reflection on knowledge and how it should be restricted hits hard. Kind of incredible they managed to do a lot in this episode. I guess the answers were already there. Seems the new generation of inquisitors are about to appear... great. Nice episode though.

Episode Context

A slow-burning, intellectually charged episode that puts the power dynamics between Badeni and his assistant Oczy under a microscope. The tension here isn't physical, it's ideological. Badeni's possessiveness over heliocentric research clashes with Oczy's awakening desire to read, learn, and understand the very knowledge he helps preserve. The pacing is deliberate and contemplative, giving weight to conversations that double as philosophical battlegrounds about who deserves access to education and who gets to decide. Madhouse leans into quiet intensity, letting the friction between these two characters carry the episode rather than spectacle. Themes of intellectual elitism, forbidden scholarship, and the societal machinery that keeps knowledge locked away from the common person dominate every scene. This is an episode that rewards patience and close attention to dialogue.
