That swamp guy is actually disgusting and watching him kidnap those mermaids made the whole episode feel really slimy and uncomfortable

Shirahoshi being utterly paralyzed as those axes started whizzing around her room was genuinely tough for me to witness; it really drove home how much she just longs for safety, and seeing her so vulnerable, I desperately hoped someone would intervene. I felt a real mix of fear and frustration, wanting to leap into the screen and help her escape that horrible trap.
