We finally see what Rikuo will be up against. It's not even Hagoromo Gitsune's full power just yet and I'm already bewildered. That scene alone, when she was against the onmyoji, was really great. It makes her feel intimidating, and with her acting like she's having fun makes it more eerie than anything else. And I like that Rikuo has finally lined up the dots about the reoccuring flashbacks he's been getting. Now I'm pumped for the next episode once more, I do wish we'll get to see the other characters soon enough too.
After the menacing aura set up by the last episode's cliffhanger, this one certainly delivers a gripping look at a gradually unfolding, full scale invasion for the series. In addition to that, the plot progression grows increasingly interesting as the narrative lore becomes deeper and darker, making the rising hype an even more intriguing and engaging hook to follow.
