EPISODE REVIEWS
the action sequence here functions as the emotional culmination of the entire arc rather than pure spectacle. every beat in the fight connects directly back to the character dynamics built across previous episodes. pacing this as the arc's explosive midpoint is structurally exactly right and the episode earns every second.
the visuals in this episode are genuinely insane, every frame of the fight had me gripping something. bishamon's expressions throughout this whole sequence are so dramatically good, you can feel every single thing she is going through. this kind of animation quality is exactly why i keep coming back fr
this episode is what you rewatch this series specifically for. yukine transforming mid-battle when everything was already at its most chaotic was EXACTLY the kind of moment that makes your jaw drop. and then the show immediately puts kazuma in danger right after. not a single moment of rest anywhere.
