Natsume's Book of Friends Season 7

It was so healing, and the animation was beautiful without being excessive. It was pure entertainment, and it was great to be able to watch it without having to think about anything too heavy. I was deeply moved by Natsume's loyalty towards the youkai. He took such good care of them, I wish I could be an origami man, because Natsume always gentle

Felt totally lowkey for a season finale tbh. While dream sequences visually standout but the rest of the ep just relies on standard dialogue heavy static frames. It gets the job done for a slice of life show, loved how Natsume treated the origami like an actual living thing. It’s a low stakes tho, so don't expect any massive cliffhangers or crazy plot twists to end the season. still a very wholesome and heartwarming wrap up, def worth a shot.

Tsuda's deep voice at first made me expect a massive warrior yokai or something fr, but he delivered a 10/10 performance for a big fluffy haystack yokai. Finally find out why reiko started the book of friends. Misunderstandings always ruined things for her, making this the most heartbreaking. Seeing her soft and tender side was so touching. And the blue flower field ending is painfully beautiful, I was a total mess.

'Twas honestly such a huge slap to Matoba that the whole conflict got resolved with non-violent action lol. like he’s standing there with all his weapons and Natsume just uses empathy. It’s so rare to see Matoba's human side too, loved the flashbacks here and there showing his past with Natori. As usual, Nyanko sensei spoiled again lol he completely sold out for those loquats.

Ngl having all three of them in the same room is such a rare treat. Natori and matoba bickering like an old married couple completely stole the show, hilarious! They were total opposites when it comes to their beliefs and exorcism methods and that cliffhanger?? yeah, it def guaranteed that i'm binging the next half immediately.

Fr, the plot was so different from the usual repetitive Natsume coded pattern which was refreshing to break away from that predictable formula. Loved seeing him from his friends POV and having nishimura carry mostly all the internal dialogs changed the tone. It gave off such a mysterious and unsettling thriller vibe like... that when Nishimura reattached the finger was genuinely creepy tbh.

Taki's brother being a total jerk at first but turns out there’s a real explanation behind it. Best part is seeing Nyanko sensei get bribed with pastries and that 'like sister like brother' energy is so real with how they both obsess over Nyanko sensei. I mean who wouldn't be captivated by that literal blob ball of cuteness?? 😭

Intro atmosphere gives off such a creepy vibe af. Matoba officially crashes this ep and turns the show into a straight up ghost thriller. I can totally feel the uncomfy feeling of Natsume just being in the same room with Matoba. The contrast with the usual cozy vibes is crazy.

Oh wow, that magnificent creature was such a crazy visual hook. The whole plot of Natsume hunting down a dragon scale to fix a comb for a sad yokai was wild but wow what a massive plot twist at the end! That was a really good one. Just proves that even seven seasons in, this show can still surprise you.

Ngl the plot felt a bit repetitive, gave me major flashbacks to when Taki was first introduced back prev seasons but omg Nyanko-sensei dry brushing himself like an actual furry cat was so cute, it broke up the spooky tension lol. I find the story lacked visuals tho imo, especially when Nyanko said Kitamoto's wrist became see through but nothing showed in the screen. Also felt like there wasn't enough closure between Kitamoto and the yokai girl tbh.

Noticed the playful sound right at the start fit perfectly with the comedic energy when he was with his chukyu yokai friends lol. And he trusts and respects natori as a real partner now after all the crazy stuff they went through. yeah, the ep has tons of dialogue, but that's totally understandable since it's just setting up a new character & it's the first part of a cliffhanger.

Loved how the yokai involved had zero connection to the book of friends. it’s just peak cozy vibes delivers pure overwhelming comfort also might feel a bit slow paced to some while building the story but visually it’s a stunning masterpiece. The way it mirrors how much he treasures the Fujiwaras is so beautiful ngl i was teary eyed at the end part.

Smart move showing a bit recap of Reiko in the premiere.. great for new viewers to catch up if they skipped the prev seasons. Art is still that same cozy pastel style and the whole vibe is just as warm as ever.. might be a slow pace in the middle to some but whatever it's a slice of life, I dont mind it.

Un episodio dulce, aunque sin mucho más que aportar a la trama o al desarrollo de algún personaje. Natsume debe cuidar de una pequeña ayakashi por unos días, mientras tanto, aprovecha de mostrarle algunos paisajes del mundo humano.

¿Qué es mejor? ¿saber o no saber? la querida Reiko no le da muchas vueltas, se arriesga y gana o se arriesga y pierde, eso es todo, por lo menos para ella. No solo en este capítulo sino en muchos otros, si tan solo, hubiera hecho una pregunta más, si tan solo se hubiera permitido adentrarse un poquito más, las respuestas podrían haber sido totalmente diferentes. Un capítulo agridulce de una de las historias pasadas de Reiko.

Esta es la continuación de la historia de Matoba, Natori y Natsume. Un episodio lleno de muchas emociones a distintos ritmos. Por una parte hay un ser humano que pide a gritos un combo en la cara (por mi parte) y por otra está la melancolia de quienes cargan con una promesa. La diferencia de tiempo de vida entre ayakashis y humanos es siempre muy dolorosa. A veces pienso que Natsume es el único personaje que está madurando en este animé.

Siempre que aparecen Natori o Matoba la trama se complica. Estamos ante un escenario con más acción y suspenso, un misterio a resolver respecto a un clan que ya no existe pero que ha dejado un par de cosas pendientes. Esta historia continua en el episodio siguiente.

Este capítulo se nos muestra con un aire melancólico pero tiernamente dulce. Nishimura sin notarlo, comienza a acercarse más al mundo de Natsume y a la vez, nos permite conocerlo mucho más. A veces, ganamos y perdernos cosas y lo unico que nos queda es la sensación melancólica de la nostalgia.

Y continuamos con los capítulos lindos y de desarrollo de personaje, esta vez es el turno de Taki, se introduce un nuevo personaje (muy agradable para mi persona) y nuevamente esta serie nos muestra el gran valor que tienen los objetos. Alegria, nostalgia y risas envuelven este hermoso episodio.

Un episodio intrigante. Avanza la historia con el clan Matoba y nos revelan un poco más sobre su lider y la carga que debe llevar. El fin justifica los medios, dicen por ahí, mientras más se relacione Natsume con estas personas ¿llegará el momento en que deban estar en bandos opuestos?
