I love that we're getting lots of character spotlights in this arc aaaaaaa! Shino is so underrated!

Kakashi looks completely terrified and seeing him admit that he was totally bluffing against Orochimaru makes the power gap feel scary because he is usually so chill

I felt so sick when Shino's bugs crawled out of Zaku's arms like that and it was so nasty to watch him just stand there while his hands literally exploded

Watching Kakashi realize how outclassed he was by Orochimaru really gave me a sense of dread, since he’s always been the strongest person we’ve seen so far in the village

You can really tell how much Orochimaru got into Kakashi's head during their talk, especially when he brought up the sharingan and how it wasn't there before.

Orochimaru is such a master manipulator for picking up kids like Zaku and using them as shields and it makes you wonder what he actually has planned for Sasuke in the long run

You really feel for Sasuke during that sealing ritual because he was in so much pain and it seems like Orochimaru is right about him seeking power anyway

I felt a genuine chill when Shino just stood there calmly while his insects did all the dirty work and Zaku realizing his tubes were clogged was a total nightmare

Kakashi really thought he could take on Orochimaru with a single threat and then he realized how outclassed he was by that monster and it makes the stakes feel so high now

Kakashi standing up to Orochimaru was heavy but then he realized he would actually die. Seeing those bugs crawl out of Shino was gross and poor Zaku was just a pawn the whole time

You see Orochimaru just walking away and it makes Kakashi look so small. That bug guy Shino is absolutely terrifying for no reason and his win over Zaku felt so cold

Shino is definitely the creepiest kid in the village and those bugs living inside his body made my skin crawl but you cannot deny he is incredibly strong and smart

That curse mark sealing looked like absolute agony for Sasuke and seeing him scream while Orochimaru just watched with that creepy smile really shows how much of a psycho he is
