Solid episode overall, pacing and events are better executed. I forgot that they actually did a bit of gore here so that's surprising 😮

The forest is already going wrong. Giant snake, mysterious rain ninja, and then... THAT moment. Tension is suffocating and pacing is relentless. Something very specific happens at the end that changes the whole season's direction.

Okay, when that enemy busted out that crazy giant tongue, I literally recoiled, it was the most unexpectedly gross thing I've seen in Naruto yet. And then watching her just *gulp* down the scroll? My stomach totally churned, making me wonder what kind of messed up powers she even has to pull that off.

I still feel gross after seeing that grass ninja use his tongue like a whip and his eyes are actually haunting my dreams tonight

Watching Sakura just stand there while Sasuke is literally bleeding out to save them is so frustrating and the atmosphere in this forest is getting dark fast

The way that enemy ninja used their tongue to grab the scroll was actually disgusting and I have no idea how they are going to survive this encounter

You can tell the stakes just went up because Sasuke had to resort to self harm just to stop shaking from the sheer pressure of that killing intent

The way that grass ninja just completely froze Sasuke was genuinely terrifying; I mean, he's usually so cool and collected, but she made him stab his own leg just to snap out of it. My stomach dropped watching him do that, and it really makes me wonder if Naruto will even get out of that snake in time to help them.

The forest of death is no joke and that giant snake gulping down Naruto was a huge shock, especially with that grass ninja stalking Sasuke and Sakura
