That giant snake swallowing Naruto was a lot to take in and the forest feels like a death trap already

Sasuke looks completely frozen and you can tell he has never seen power like this before and it makes things feel way more dangerous now

I was not ready for the show to get this dark so quickly, and Orochimaru is honestly terrifying. Sasuke being too scared to even move while Naruto just jumps right into the fight says so much about how their minds work under pressure. The whole feeling of the forest is just suffocating and the threat feels real for the first time.

Anko makes them sign a literal death waiver and it really shows how much the stakes just went up for these kids

I really felt for Sakura when she was frozen while that creepy guy was attacking, and it makes total sense for her to be scared when the pressure is that high and intense

Orochimaru is easily the creepiest villain I have seen in a long time, and that scene where he used his tongue to lick the blade actually made my skin crawl. It feels like the show just got way scarier now that they are stuck in the forest with monsters, and people who actually want to kill them

Watching the grass ninja swallow that scroll was just gross and weird even though it made him seem dangerous and it slowed down the start of the forest exam a bit too much
