The way Naruto handled those outlaws in the town was classic and it shows that even in these side stories he never loses that drive to help anyone who is suffering

Naruto just keeps pushing forward no matter what and his energy in this episode really made the whole search for the Fuma Clan hideout feel way more important than it probably was

I think that Cursed Mandala technique is so creepy and cool and I really wish we saw more unique jutsu like that in the main show instead of just the same old clan stuff

I felt so bad for the Fuma Clan members, especially since they were just looking for a way to restore their name but ended up serving a monster like Orochimaru

Arashi getting manipulated by Orochimaru is exactly why that guy is the worst villain and it makes you realize how many lives he destroyed just to build his weird hidden village

Sakura's face when she couldn't even keep pace with those Fuma ninjas just *got* to me, you know? I could practically feel her frustration, realizing she's still so far behind and how much that must sting for her.

Sakura looked so stressed out this whole time and you can tell she is really starting to realize she needs to step up her game after losing Sasuke

I know everyone says to skip the filler but I actually liked seeing more of how Orochimaru ruins lives and Arashi is such a sad case and it makes me hate Orochimaru even more for what he does to these smaller clans just to get what he wants and Naruto never giving up on these people always makes the episodes feel worth it

The Fuma Clan deserved better than being used as pawns for Orochimaru and seeing that town full of outlaws really showed how messy the world is outside the main villages

seeing those fuma clan techniques caught my eye because they felt way more grounded than the crazy stuff the leaf ninja usually do

Watching Naruto dodge those chakra threads was intense, especially since one wrong move meant his heart would literally get crushed.

The way Sasame lured them into that trap was cold, but it makes sense given how much Orochimaru has messed with her people.

i felt so bad for sasame because her motivation to save arashi reminded me way too much of sakura trying to get sasuke back

people say skip the filler but the stuff about the fuma clan and how orochimaru manipulated them is actually pretty interesting

arashi ripping out his own heart for that forbidden jutsu was seriously gross and definitely not what you usually see in this show

i actually liked seeing sakura and naruto take charge of a mission without kakashi breathing down their necks for once

sasame trying to poison naruto and sakura was such a twist but you can tell she is just desperate to find her cousin arashi

that town felt so sketchy and seeing orochimaru basically ruin an entire clan just for some rare jutsu is dark

naruto trying so hard to track down orochimaru hideouts is exactly what he should be doing after sasuke left and it makes his motivation feel very consistent

those fuma clan ninja techniques are actually pretty impressive and seeing them tie people up with those glowing strings looked incredible

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 137 sits deep in Naruto's back half, well past the main canon arcs, placing it squarely in filler territory as the series extends beyond its source material. It follows directly from the team's initial arrival in the Land of Rice Fields in the previous episode, continuing their infiltration mission centered on tracking Orochimaru. This episode builds out the local power dynamics of the Fūma clan, laying groundwork for the confrontations and revelations that will drive the next several episodes of this filler arc.
