I still cant get over Indra killing that poor dog to wake up his eyes and it makes his whole villain turn feel way more personal than just being born evil

Zetsu whispering in Indra's ear is really where everything started to go wrong for the entire world

Watching the brothers go from friends to enemies makes the cycle of reincarnation feel like such a heavy burden for Naruto and Sasuke

The difference between Ashura wanting to help people and Indra just wanting to control them sets up the whole war perfectly

I found the scene where Indra invents Ninjutsu fascinating, because it shows how something meant for peace can be twisted into a weapon so easily.

Seeing Indra use a move that looked way too much like the Chidori was weird and it kind of messed with the timeline

Indra turning his back on Ninshu to create Ninjutsu was the exact point where he lost his way and started seeking power over people

My skin crawled when Black Zetsu started whispering to Indra because you can see the exact moment the pride turns into something much darker

Even though some people are calling this filler, it feels pretty important for understanding the whole reincarnation cycle between the brothers. Seeing the split between Ninshu and actual Ninjutsu makes the world feel bigger, plus the way Indra lets his ego take over shows exactly how the Curse of the Uchiha got its start centuries ago. I think it makes the modern conflict more tragic.

Ashura really just feels like Naruto from a different era and seeing him struggle despite his lineage makes the connection even stronger

Learning that Indra was the one who actually created hand signs to make his life easier was a really neat bit of history

The transition from Ninshu to Ninjutsu was actually kind of depressing because it showed how a good idea can be twisted into a weapon Indra was a total genius before Zetsu got to him

Watching the birth of the sharingan through such a violent act was hard to sit through, especially since Indra started out with such good intentions for the village and his family

It is crazy how much the cycle of hatred makes sense now that we saw the first two brothers fight and Ashura being the one to emphasize cooperation over raw power really explains Naruto

I honestly felt so bad for Indra because he was the one who actually put in the work to innovate and figure out how to use chakra effectively, but then Hagoromo just hands everything to Ashura instead. It makes the whole rivalry with Naruto and Sasuke feel way more grounded now, especially since we see where the bitterness actually comes from in the beginning

The way Zetsu keeps popping up in the background is so unsettling and it makes you realize how much he manipulated history from the start Indra never really stood a chance against that level of gaslighting

I am so done with all these filler episodes but at least we finally got to see how the Uchiha curse actually started and watching Indra lose his mind because of Zetsu felt really tragic

Indra going from a sweet genius who cared about everyone to a monster because of some black goo is a lot to process the origins of ninjutsu being so dark was a surprise

Hagoromo choosing the weaker brother was such a massive gamble and you can totally see why Indra felt so betrayed after doing all the work that decision basically started thousands of years of constant war
samebito_samurai_84's avatar

It is wild that Indra literally invented hand signs just to help people and then it turned into a way to kill each other and seeing the dog die just to trigger the sharingan was actually brutal

EPISODE CONTEXT

Arriving at episode 465 of 500, this filler installment follows 'Ninshū: The Ninja Creed,' which established the philosophical foundations of ninshū, and now narrows the lens onto the personal histories of Ashura and Indra. It functions as a bridge episode within a stretch of mythology-focused filler, setting the emotional and ideological groundwork that feeds directly into 'The Tumultuous Journey.' The main narrative's climax remains on hold as the series continues exploring the ancestral origins behind the central conflict.
