My skin was crawling when Karin tried to corner Sasuke in that room, and Suigetsu is the only one here for wanting to leave her behind

The bickering between Suigetsu and Karin is the only thing keeping the energy up and it makes the whole team look like a complete mess

The whole episode felt like a massive skip because barely anything happened besides Sasuke walking through a prison and hopefully the next member is less annoying than Karin

Sasuke assembling his own little squad is a cool idea but this episode felt so slow because they spent way too much time on Karin being weird

Karin sensing chakra is actually a huge win for Sasuke, but her personality is just Sakura on steroids and it makes for some really awkward scenes. You see Sasuke just using her infatuation to get what he wants and it shows how much he changed since leaving the Leaf and he really has no mercy for anyone anymore

You have to wonder why Sasuke even bothered telling Suigetsu not to kill anyone if he was just going to take out that prisoner himself later on

That moment Sasuke took out the prisoner after telling Suigetsu to not kill anyone was a cold move and it really highlights how pragmatic he is now

I think I like Suigetsu way more now that I see him dealing with Karin because her behavior is seriously over the top even for this show

You can tell Orochimaru is gone for real because the security at that hideout was a joke and Karin was basically just vibing there alone

I can't believe Karin is already that obsessed with Sasuke and it's actually kind of uncomfortable to watch her act like that while Suigetsu just stands there looking annoyed

Sasuke telling those prisoners they didn't have to die, just to use them to spread his legend, really caught me off guard with how calculating he's become; it's honestly a bit chilling to see him so far gone, thinking so many steps ahead like that.

I seriously can't get over how instantly wild Suigetsu and Karin's back-and-forth was, even before they officially joined. Like, it makes me think Sasuke totally knew what he was doing picking these two because their chaotic energy just clicks in such a hilarious way for the recruitment arc.

Karin sensing Sasuke's chakra as the most powerful among hundreds of people really showed me how intense his training must've been. I mean, with Orochimaru supposedly gone, it just makes you wonder what kind of monster he's becoming now that he's truly unleashed.

Karin pulling that move to lock the door on Sasuke made me physically wince a little, it was just so painfully obvious what she was trying to do. And the way he just stood there, totally unfazed, really cemented for me how utterly fixated he is on his path, completely oblivious to her, or anyone else for that matter.

I can't believe how easily Sasuke just waltzed into that prison, like it was nothing, and took over so casually. It's kinda chilling how he's so focused on his twisted idea of peace, making those prisoners announce he offed Orochimaru; he really thinks he's doing good, doesn't he?

Karin completely dropped her professional act and went full-on fangirl the second Sasuke was in her sights, and honestly, I found myself laughing but also thinking, *is this girl for real?* It's wild how she can still zero in on his chakra amidst a whole prison full of people, and I guess that's why Sasuke's willing to put up with her; she's definitely got a weird useful talent, even if I'm not sure I'd want her on *my* squad.

I was kinda surprised to see Sasuke just stroll in there after all that chaos with the prisoners freaking out about Orochimaru. it’s so like him to just coldly command them to spread the word about Orochimaru's death, like he’s trying to control the narrative and maybe solidify his own place now that he’s dealt with him.

Karin trying to shoo Suigetsu away just to get Sasuke to herself had me absolutely cackling; my goodness, her single-mindedness is almost admirable, in a weird way. I bet Suigetsu was just internally screaming, thinking, "Oh, here we go again with this," because honestly, who hasn't been there?

Karin's immediate swooning over Sasuke's

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode is the second chapter in Sasuke's team-assembly arc, directly following his recruitment of Suigetsu from one of Orochimaru's facilities. 'Guardian of the Iron Wall' focuses on securing the next member, Karin, establishing her abilities and personality before the group moves on to pursue their final recruit, Jugo, in the episodes ahead. It's a critical bridge episode that transforms Sasuke from a solo operative into the leader of a purpose-built unit.
