Sasuke using a partial curse mark transformation to stop Jugo was my favorite part because it shows he finally mastered that power and I hope he actually gets Jugo to join the team without more fighting

Jugo is such a wild card and his design when he goes crazy is actually pretty cool and it is crazy that he has to stay locked up just so he does not kill everyone around him

The news about Orochimaru finally hit the Leaf village and Naruto is so delusional for thinking Sasuke will just come home and Sakura is the only one being realistic about him starting a team to go after Itachi

The pacing felt a little slow this week but the lore about where the curse mark enzyme comes from made up for it and Jugo is a monster and seeing him lose control was intense

Suigetsu and Karin fighting the entire way to the hideout is entertaining because they annoy each other and Sasuke just ignores them while they argue about everything and it makes for a great dynamic

Finding out that Jugo is the original source for the curse mark puts so many things into perspective for me, especially regarding Kimimaro and how Orochimaru operates. I really felt for Jugo because he just wants to be normal but he has these insane murderous urges. Sasuke showing mercy to those guards was a shock but it shows how much he has changed.

I can't believe Jugo is the reason why the curse mark even exists and his transformation was actually scary and Sasuke not killing those prisoners was such a weird change for him but I kind of liked it

Naruto winning that whole pile of dirty books for Kakashi at the end was the funniest thing in ages and Kakashi looked so stressed and it was the perfect way to break up the serious Sasuke stuff

I seriously doubt Orochimaru is actually gone for good, he's just too slippery and has pulled off impossible comebacks before. It honestly makes me so uneasy seeing Sasuke act all high and mighty now, like he's totally oblivious to the nasty surprise Orochimaru probably left lingering inside him after their fight.

Pure dread washed over me when Sakura's expression shifted after hearing about Orochimaru, because it spelled disaster for their entire, already impossible plan to get Sasuke back. I can feel her internal struggle, knowing they might have to compromise everything they stand for just for a chance, and it's a brutal position for her to be in.

I honestly can't get over the fact that Naruto has the whole Icha Icha series, and that post-credits scene was such a hilarious break from everything; I really needed it after Jugo's creepy mood swings. It's wild to me that Jugo actually wanted Orochimaru to keep him locked up, and honestly, I'm kinda nervous about what Sasuke's even thinking by having him on his team.

I was actually kinda shocked seeing Sasuke waltz into that hideout, all confident with his curse mark, and just totally run the show while Jugo was freaking out. It really shows how much his drive for revenge has pushed him, almost like he's traded a part of himself for this power.

Whoa, Jugo’s true form actually threw me for a loop, I didn't see that coming at all. But when it clicked that *he* was the actual source of the curse mark? My brain just short-circuited trying to re-evaluate everything I thought about how Sasuke got his power, it's wild to think about.

Naruto, bless his heart, actually thought Sasuke would just pack up and come home after his spat with Orochimaru, and I just couldn't believe his optimism there. Jiraiya had to give him a cold dose of reality, and it hit me how that same unwavering determination of his, the one I usually admire, can sometimes just blind him to the painful truth about his friend.

Did anyone else just sigh when Naruto immediately assumed Sasuke would waltz back to Konoha with Orochimaru out of the game? My heart aches a little seeing him still cling to that incredibly stubborn, hopeful belief, especially knowing how much deeper Sasuke's issues run now.

Jugo's plea to be locked up, just because he's so terrified of the monster inside himself, honestly floored me. I mean, after everything we've seen with the curse marks and their unpredictable nature, his willingness to imprison himself to protect others speaks volumes about his struggle, and it makes my stomach ache thinking about the burden he carries.

Jugo's cell, covered in his own claw marks as he mumbled about needing to kill, gave me chills—it's like he's been in a constant struggle with himself for ages, probably even before Sasuke found him. I seriously wonder what kind of monster Sasuke is trying to unleash, and if he even realizes how unstable Jugo truly is.

Sasuke telling his team not to kill anyone really threw me for a loop, honestly. I mean, after all he's been through with Orochimaru, I almost forgot that moral compass might still be buried in there somewhere, even if he's headed down a dark path.

I actually cracked up when they ended with the Icha Icha book, it was such a classic move to cut the tension after all the chaos with Jugo and those wild prisoners. I just knew Jiraiya would pop up somehow, even if it was just through his pervy literature.

It really got to me, finding out Kimimaro was the only one who could calm Jugo; his death back in the 'Search for Tsunade' arc feels way more tragic now because it just highlights how desperately Jugo's been looking for someone he can truly trust and rely on, a genuine connection he lost.

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode directly continues the team-building arc that saw Sasuke recruit Suigetsu and then Karin in the preceding episodes, now turning attention to the final and most dangerous recruit. It bridges 'Guardian of the Iron Wall' and the upcoming 'Formation!,' where the newly assembled squad's group dynamics begin to crystallize. At episode 117 of 500, this stretch represents a pivotal post-timeskip phase where Sasuke's independent agenda and growing team set the trajectory for major conflicts ahead.
