The background animation of the night with the moon and fireflies looks so beautiful, even with the darker vibe. The shot with the tears welling up in the character's eyes is a really nice touch, too. You can just feel the characters' sheer determination to get things done.
That was pleasantly surprising; you'd thought this would be just like the past episodes, but it offered much, much more. Actual stakes, dramatic moments, and character developments all happened in rapid succession in probably the most insightful chapter of the series. It's still not perfect, but the effort is more pronounced than ever. We're halfway through this season, maybe this is the spark that lights the tinder for the rest of the show.
