Subaru stepping out for something as simple as meeting readers still feels like a big deal, which says a lot about how far he has come. Meanwhile, Haru being left alone turns into exactly the kind of anxious cat chaos that pet owners will recognize lol. It was sweet, awkward, and quietly shows how attached these two have become.
I also loved seeing Subaru slowly realise that his writing means something to other people. Watching him become more comfortable as the signing went on was really nice, especially because we know how uncomfortable he usually is around people. The episode does a great job showing how both Subaru and Haru are learning to reach out in their own ways.
