Tenjin is so cute!!! I love how she snuck out from the parade just to get to see the show.
The festival setting was actually visually impressive, I like how the lanterns, the crowd, the weather, and the chaos all contributed onto that wonderful festive vibe. The writing also felt like a light adventure after that performance. Lord Tenjin is a fun character here and seeing Mameda negotiate with a god was amusing. The pacing is also really smooth and was an enjoyable watch all throughout.
This episode overall shows the introduction of the eccentric Byakudanji Tsubaki brings a flurry of chaotic, high-energy animation frames. The backgrounds are saturated with the rich, luxurious golds and deep reds of Osaka's high-class performance halls.
